Sailing Forward | 'World Through Children's Eyes' Art Collection Event Launches in Beijing

The "Colorful Childhood: World through the Eyes of Children" painting collection event has been launched in Beijing for the second time. The event welcomes children aged 3 to 16 from all over the country to participate in the free painting collection, aiming to stimulate their creativity and imagination, and showcase their unique perspectives and longing for a better life.

As a public welfare activity showcasing children's artistic creations, the "World through the Eyes of Children" series of painting events started in August 2019. It has successfully held themes such as "The Forbidden City through the Eyes of Children," receiving more than 20,000 artworks in total. This year's event is jointly organized by the Youth Art Education Professional Committee of the China Children's Culture and Arts Promotion Association and Beijing Radio and Television's official audio client "Tingting FM," with Beijing Feiyin Media as the organizer. "Tingting FM" will set up a dedicated section for event promotion, and the registration and artwork submission period will be from January to March 2024. The official email for the event is children_in_art@163.com. After the collection phase, expert evaluations will be conducted, and the award results are expected to be announced by the end of March, followed by a touring art exhibition in April to May and an award ceremony in June.

Luogang, the President and Secretary-General of the Youth Art Education Professional Committee of the China Children's Culture and Arts Promotion Association, stated that this project is not only a platform for artistic creation and exhibition but also an important carrier for promoting and inheriting excellent traditional Chinese culture and cultivating cultural self-confidence. Art education is an indispensable part of children's growth process, not only helping them discover, appreciate, and create beauty but also cultivating their aesthetic taste and artistic literacy.

Ms. Zhao Jie, President of Babytree Group, shared a keynote speech on "Focusing on the Power of Her, Leading Cultural Consumption in Art Education," explaining the development history of Babytree and how to provide quality services related to art education in the new era.

During the roundtable forum on "Cross-border Innovation of Art Education and Technology," Gu Datong, Vice President of Meishubao Group, Wu Nan, Assistant Curator of Yanhuang Art Museum, and Ma Hongyu, Project Development Officer of the French-Chinese Exchange Promotion Association, shared their insights from their respective fields of expertise. Each guest agreed that the development of AI and GC would bring about a new wave of innovation in art education and technology.

Finally, the attendees injected enthusiasm into the launching ceremony of the painting collection event, witnessing this sacred moment. Just like golden sand, our children are seeds of hope on the road to realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We hope that through the start of this painting creation project, we can further cultivate and inspire the young generation's patriotic enthusiasm, deepen their understanding of the ever-changing development of the country, and enhance their pride in the increasingly powerful motherland. We also hope to foster a generation of young people with cultural self-confidence, willing to contribute to the dissemination and innovation of Chinese culture, and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity and the realization of the Chinese Dream.
